Failed to load msxmlsql.dll
Post reply Failed to load msxmlsql.dll Manvendra
Unfortunately, what makes DLL files so convenient and efficient, also makes them extremely vulnerable to problems. If something happens to a shared DLL file, either it goes missing or gets corrupted in some way, it can generate a "runtime" error message. Runtime is pretty self-explanatory; it means that these errors are triggered when msxmlsql.dll is attempted to be loaded either when inFlow Inventory is starting up, or in some cases already running. Some of the most common msxmlsql.dll errors include:
failed to load msxmlsql.dll sql 2008 r2
Your msxmlsql.dll file could be missing due to accidental deletion, uninstalled as a shared file of another program (shared with inFlow Inventory), or deleted by a malware infection. Furthermore, msxmlsql.dll file corruption could be caused from a power outage when loading inFlow Inventory, system crash while loading msxmlsql.dll, bad sectors on your storage media (usually your primary hard drive), or quite commonly, a malware infection. Thus, it's critical to make sure your anti-virus is kept up-to-date and scanning regularly.
If none of the previous three troubleshooting steps have resolved your issue, you can try a more aggressive approach (Note: Not recommended for amateur PC users) by downloading and replacing your appropriate msxmlsql.dll file version. We maintain a comprehensive database of 100% malware-free msxmlsql.dll files for every applicable version of inFlow Inventory. Please follow the steps below to download and properly replace you file:
CAUTION : We strongly advise against downloading and copying msxmlsql.dll to your appropriate Windows system directory. inFlow Inventory Software typically does not release inFlow Inventory DLL files for download because they are bundled together inside of a software installer. The installer's task is to ensure that all correct verifications have been made before installing and placing msxmlsql.dll and all other DLL files for inFlow Inventory. An incorrectly installed DLL file may create system instability and could cause your program or operating system to stop functioning altogether. Proceed with caution.
This expired license Issue breaks down to these points on two differentservers1) SQL is on a different workstation than SSXM2) SERVER 1 is an update from server 2000 to server 20033) Server 2 is a full installed server 20034) Both appeared to have ASP.NET issues delivering the license to thedatabase. Either retreived electroniclly or by importing the XML file5) Found both SS-AdminSite-Webservices.log file to contain the errorfollowed by a large call stack.ERROR - Shared - System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Failed to loadmsxmlsql.dll.6) Suggestions: A) Reboot the server where the SQL is loadedB) Review Microsoft Technical Bulletin We loaded a SQL EXPRESS instance to the local machine and was able toretrieve the new license file. 2ff7e9595c
